Mason Mantla is a Tlicho citizen and his heart will forever reside on the shores of Marion Lake; Behchoko. He is a singer and a writer. His songs are of the social blights that affect his indigenous people. As one of the last bastions of native resistance against colonialism his community finds itself at the terror of modernism. His songs paint a people who have gone through near extinction and have come back not only stronger but in keeping with their tradition.
